Using GIS tools
Open bagkit outputs in QGIS, GDAL and GeoPandas.
Geometrie is in RD New (EPSG:28992), the Dutch national grid the BAG uses: geometrie holds a pand’s vlak, and vlak an adresseerbaar object’s. Punten are in RD New (rd_x, rd_y) and WGS84 (breedtegraad, lengtegraad).
A SQLite output of tables is also a GeoPackage, with panden and adresseerbare_objecten registered as feature tables. Open it in QGIS with Layer › Add Layer › Add Vector Layer, or inspect it with GDAL:
ogrinfo bag.sqliteGDAL warns that a GeoPackage should use the .gpkg extension; the warning is harmless, or rename the file.
Parquet geometrie carries GeoParquet metadata, so GeoPandas reads it as geometry with its CRS:
import geopandas
panden = geopandas.read_parquet("bag/panden.parquet")print(panden.crs) # EPSG:28992CSV geometrie is WKT. In QGIS, add it as a Delimited Text layer with geometrie (or vlak) as the geometry field and EPSG:28992 as the CRS. For an adreslijst, use lengtegraad and breedtegraad as point coordinates in EPSG:4326.
Punten
Section titled “Punten”Every adresseerbaar object has a punt: the one the BAG records, or else the area-weighted centroid of its vlak. Ligplaatsen and standplaatsen only have a vlak. Punten outside RD New’s area of use, which some withdrawn verblijfsobjecten carry as placeholders, keep their RD New coordinates but get no WGS84 coordinates.
Use --exclude geometrie when you only need punten; the punten are still computed.
